Dames is a full service Structural Engineering and Architectural Design firm led by Elizabeth Springer, PE. Our mission at Dames is to provide high quality design through a collaborative design process with integrity and due diligence to meet the sophisticated needs of our clients. Dames is known extensively for its work in residential projects including: new home designs, historical renovations, remodeling, and row homes. Our notable commercial work includes: structural and design support for Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary, The West Hill School, Swarthmore Nursery School, and local historic remodels such as Whitby Hall on the Haverford Heritage Trail and an Elfreth’s Alley row home remodel.

In addition to architectural and structural services we offer consultations to realtors and homeowners looking to buy or sell a home. We can provide assistance whether the home is slow to sell or may need some help down the road. Additionally, we provide structural and architectural support for contractors and interior designers and assist in the permit process.  We also have a structural division that can partner with Architects and Interior Designers to provide Engineering services during planning, permitting or construction.

 

Dames operates in Pennsylvania and Maryland with our office located in Radnor Township, PA. We’ve previously completed projects in Baltimore, Annapolis, Maryland's Eastern Shore, Bucks County, Mainline and Philadelphia. Dames has been recognized for exceptional design in works such as Philly Magazine.
